Karus Research Identifies Top 10 Jewelry Sites Online June 15, 2016 (0 comments)
New York, NY—Karus Chains has published new research that identifies the top 10 jewelry websites as well as the top 10 jewelry brands and retailers on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest. Pandora (left) came in at number one as the top-visited website with the most monthly traffic.
Using a combination of proprietary research as well as standard online measurement tools, Karus discovered two key trends in the data: one, jewelry retailers don’t seem to “get” Instagram (see bottom chart); and two, Pinterest is the least utilized social media platform among the top jewelry brands and retailers, says Caemin O’Connor, the company’s director of research.
According to Karus’s research, Tiffany & Co. is the best at social media, coming in first in Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram followers, while Pandora's website boasts more than 10 million monthly visitors. Cartier leads on YouTube, and Swarovski on Pinterest.
Here are the top 10 websites with the biggest monthly traffic numbers, according to Karus’s research:
Pandora last year came in first in Karus’s research into the most searched jewelry brands online, so its position at the top here also is no big surprise. Here are the global figures for Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram (all, courtesy Karus Chains):
And here are the top seven specialty jewelry retailers on Instagram according to Karus’s research. Note that none actually fall into the top 10—and that Zales, the retailer with the biggest Instagram following at 28,700—is outdone almost 20-fold by Rommanel, the Brazilian brand in the number-10 spot on Instagram, and 200-fold by Tiffany, the Instagram leader.
