LAS VEGAS SHOWS DELIVER FOR VENDORS AND RETAILERS |  June 10, 2011 (0 comments)

Las Vegas, NV--After traversing the aisles of Luxury By JCK, Couture and the JCK Show for a week of trade show action, one thing was clear: things have gotten considerably better this year than they were this time last year in Las Vegas.

Most designers and manufacturers visited by The Centurion reported that business was pretty good and much better than last year. Orders were generally larger and Hold-for-Confirmations (HFC's) were down.

There was a good deal of innovative new design work to be found as well. According to Jim Rosenheim of Tiny Jewel Box, who was named to National Jeweler's  Retailer Hall of Fame--along with Lawrence Bock of Bachendorf--during the Couture Design Awards ceremony, there was an exciting and wide selection of innovative jewelry design to be seen throughout the show.

The Las Vegas traffic split was a source of frustration. In fact, some retailers told their vendors that they would no longer be coming across town to visit them due to time restraints. But for the most part, higher-end vendors were pleased on both sides of town.

Please review the vendor video interviews below for details on what was new at the shows. More videos and post-show news to come next week.
