Locman’s Iconic Watch Reveals Its Beating Heart February 23, 2021 (0 comments)

Marina di Campo, Italy--Open Heart is the keenly awaited new watch from Locman. The instantly eye-catching transparent dial and the crystal aperture on the case back reveal the beating heart of a prestigious self-winding chronograph mechanism, the Swiss Sellita SW500 movement with 25 jewels and stop-second function. Locman is exclusively distributed in the US through IFE Lux Group

The mechanism’s reliability is highlighted by the special three-year guarantee provided by Locman. Available in a range of colours, the transparent dial presents the three counters (hours, minutes, seconds) and an elegant date aperture and is framed by a flange bearing the numerals and tachymetric scale. The Italian flag at 6 o’clock represents the essence of Locman, as well as the importance the brand places in its roots. The transparent dial of the Montecristo Open Heart is shielded by a flat mineral crystal with sapphire treatment.

The 44 mm AISI 316L surgical steel case alternates glossy and satin-brushed sections and is affixed to a hypoallergenic silicon or natural leather strap via the typical three-bar lugs incorporated into the case middle. Closed with a titanium case back featuring an aperture that provides a view of the movement, the case of the Montecristo Open Heart is water-resistant to 10 ATM (100 metres). The movement’s 48-hour autonomy is guaranteed by the customised

Locman tungsten oscillating weight mounted on steel ball bearings, providing greater fluidity of oscillation for the rotor.

For collectors, the Montecristo Open Heart also comes with a case with PVD Total Black or PVD Total Blue coating in a limited edition of 350 numbered timepieces in tribute to the 35-year anniversary of the Tuscan brand’s creation.

But that’s not all: for those in search of something truly special, Locman offers the opportunity to customise your Montecristo Open Heart, creating your own colour combination for the case, hands, dial and, naturally, the strap. The customisation service will be available at all jewellers, single-brand stores and on the company's website.
