Mystic, CT--Lux Bond & Green, a 127-year-old family-owned jeweler, will open a new location in downtown Mystic, Connecticut. The business, now in its fourth and fifth generations of family leadership, plans to expand into the former Bank Street Book Store buildings at 49–53 West Main Street. The bookstore is relocating nearby, allowing preparations for the new store to begin.

The company currently operates stores in West Hartford, Glastonbury, Westport, Mohegan Sun, and Wellesley, Massachusetts. The Mystic opening marks another step in the jeweler’s gradual expansion across New England.

John Green, part of the fourth generation leading the firm, said the decision followed growth in the Mystic, Groton, and Stonington area. He cited new restaurants, shops, hotels, and attractions as signs of the region's momentum. Green said the family intends to work with the community and bring its established customer-service approach to the shoreline market.

The company said the move aligns with its long-term strategy to grow while maintaining its heritage as a regional jeweler focused on service, accessible luxury, and long-standing client relationships.
