Marks Jewelers Reports Four Leading Fall 2025 Engagement Ring Trends November 19, 2025 (0 comments)
Montgomeryville, PA--Marks Jewelers has identified four dominant engagement ring trends for Fall 2025 based on sales data from January through October at its Montgomeryville, PA and Mount Laurel, NJ showrooms. The retailer reports strong demand for hidden halos, increased sales of yellow gold, continued interest in oval-cut diamonds, and growth in nature-inspired designs.

Per an article on their website, hidden halos remain the most requested feature and add about $800 to $2,500 to a setting. The design uses pavé stones set beneath the center diamond, which the company said can make a 1-carat stone appear closer to 1.15 carats. Marks Jewelers noted that clients choose hidden halos for appearance and added girdle protection.
Yellow gold now accounts for roughly 40 percent of engagement ring sales, up from about 15 percent five years ago. Marks Jewelers attributes the shift to metal preference, lower maintenance compared with rhodium-plated white gold, and the way yellow gold reduces the visibility of faint color in near-colorless diamonds. Mixed-metal settings with yellow gold bands and white prongs are also selling well.
Oval-cut diamonds remain highly popular and rank second behind round stones. The retailer states that ovals appear larger than rounds of the same carat weight, appealing to buyers who want a more visible size. The most requested length-to-width ratios fall between 1.45 and 1.55. Marks Jewelers advises in-person inspection to assess the bow-tie effect, which cannot be evaluated using certificates alone.
Nature-inspired designs have increased 35 percent year over year. Customers are choosing vine motifs, leaf details, floral halos, and textured bands. Some request specific leaf shapes tied to personal meaning. The retailer said these designs must balance fine detailing with durability for daily wear.
Marks Jewelers reports that these trends reflect current customer preferences for personal design choices and practical considerations around metal, shape, and structure.
