Marthaler Jewelers Reflects on 15 Years in Business, Tracing Growth from Humble Beginnings May 13, 2025 (0 comments)

Fletcher, NC--Marthaler Jewelers is marking its 15th anniversary with a personal account of the challenges and milestones that shaped its journey from a modest storefront to a full-scale custom jewelry production business.
According to a post on the Marthaler Jewelers Facebook page, the idea to launch the business began during a difficult economic period, when co-founder Andy Marthaler pursued the dream of opening a store despite banks refusing financial support. The post noted that an unexpected offer from a former customer helped make the business a reality.
The company initially launched a 1,000-square-foot store in Biltmore Park. According to the Facebook post, a second, larger location followed four years later. The post highlighted the financial uncertainty faced in the early years, with periods when paying bills required "nothing but a prayer."
In 2016, a pivotal moment came after the team attended a jewelry show and decided to invest in a wax printer. As the post detailed, that purchase marked the beginning of a transformation. What started as a small desktop machine eventually expanded into a complete production facility, including CAD design, casting, and finishing services. Today, the business serves not only retail clients and designers but also gem dealers.
The post also acknowledged the contributions of Matthew, a new member of the family business, who is now involved in optimizing production and streamlining operations.
Throughout the reflection, the founders attributed the store's survival and success to faith and a commitment to using the business as a platform to give back. "Every single time we've needed provision, He has shown up," the post stated, while clarifying their values are grounded in obedience rather than prosperity gospel.
The message concluded with gratitude to customers who supported the brand without the legacy of a long-established name. "To every single customer who walked through our doors, who gave us a chance without a century of history behind us—thank you," the post read.
