Messika Names Guillaume Cousin Managing Director for The Americas November 01, 2023 (0 comments)

New York, NY--French diamond jewelry brand, Messika, appointed luxury industry veteran Guillaume Cousin as managing director for The Americas.

Cousin will be taking over the responsibilities currently held by Béatrice de Quervain Blanchard, who has decided to step back from operations responsibilities switching her focus to effective strategic task management.

The hiring of Cousin was communicated through a message to Messika’s clients in the U.S. by Jean-Baptiste Sassine, Messika’s vice president.

Guillaume joins Messika with a background of 17 years of international luxury brand development shared between the high-end hospitality, homeware and luxury jewelry and watchmaking industries. He previously held regional and global commercial leadership roles with Tiffany & Co., IWC and his last role as International commercial director of Christofle, based in Paris. Through his work he has lived in Having lived in China, the Middle East, Italy and France with direct exposure and responsibilities in the American markets.

“He has a global mindset and a true understanding of the region,” Sassine said in his message. “We count on his integrated experiences in business strategy, luxury retail and wholesale networks management and team leadership to develop further the brand and the distribution footprint of Messika in North and Latin Americas, as well as the American Caribbeans.”

Cousin will be based in Messika’s New York office. He will report to Romain Larapidie, Messika chief commercial officer.
