New York, NY--Fine jewelry brand, Verragio, announced the passing of Michael Barabash, its client relations representative and a beloved member of the Verragio family. He died unexpectedly in mid-August at the age of 58. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with funeral expenses.

Barabash had been battling illness but was showing signs of progress, the company said in a statement. His sudden passing was a shock. “His strength and optimism during this time were a testament to the spirit that defined him: resilient, warm, and full of life.”

Barabash was a vital part of the Verragio customer service team, bringing nearly three decades of jewelry industry experience and a passion for his craft. His extensive knowledge and dedication made him not only a trusted professional but also a source of inspiration.

“I’ve known Michael for many years, even before his time at Verragio,” said Barry Verragio, founder and president of Verragio. “He was one of those rare individuals whose passion for the jewelry industry was matched only by his warmth and generosity. Michael had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued. He wasn’t just a team member; he was part of our family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.”
