Milford, CT--Michaels Jewelers celebrated the grand opening of its latest location at the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford, CT, on June 8. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce representatives, Mayor Richard Smith and Alderman Anthony Giannattasio, among others.

According to a Patch report, in January 2023, Michaels Jewelers revealed plans to establish a new store at the Connecticut Post Mall, strategically located on the upper level near the food court. By April, the store had unveiled a 1,500-square-foot retail space, which includes an exclusive Pandora boutique.

“There was a crowd of people we knew we could bring a jewelry store to,” said Maria Ciarleglio, Michaels Jewelers Milford store manager, as per the report. “A family-owned business that this mall didn’t have.”

In the report, Nick Meguerditchian, Michaels Jewelers Waterbury store manager, reflected on the company's presence in the Connecticut Post Mall. “Things have changed, and this is one of the best malls in Connecticut, and you can see it once you are in it,” he said. “We wanted to be part of a growing establishment. We are a growing company and didn’t want to miss the opportunity.” 

“We carry Pandora, and that is not offered in this mall, so that impacted the decision, too,” DeAnna Syner said, per the report. “This was a great opportunity for us, and it all worked out.”
