Marina di Campo, Italy--It was 2009 when LOCMAN presented its first Montecristo Classic watch.

With its strong and identifiable design, this model immediately became iconic not only for the Italian watchmaker but also for the collective imagination in terms of sports watches and has been so much loved that a skeleton followed, showing off the beauty of its movement. For this reason, in 2019 LOCMAN created a Montecristo Skeleton, made with a steel and titanium case for the grittier version, and with rose gold finishing for the more precious and refined one.

The sophisticated and daring design remains unchanged: a patented 42 mm case with a titanium back, surmounted by a sapphire crystal and characterised by triple-bar horns. A self-winding mechanical watch with a visible Swiss Made movement, born thanks to the collaboration between the Italian School of Watchmaking - LOCMAN’s highlight - and the Swiss atelier Depa Swiss.

The steel case and the three horns, a distinctive feature of the Montecristo model, are coated with an intense black and brilliant blue PDV treatment, creating an even more sophisticated version maintaining the original sporty soul. The polished finishing gives movement and three-dimensionality to the structure of the watch, enhancing every detail. The new graphics with Arabic numerals echo the modern appeal of the PVD coating.

The 60- to 72-hour power reserve is ensured by a customised LOCMAN tungsten oscillating weight. The screw-down crown, with triple internal o-ring seal, ensures water resistance up to 10 atmospheres. The silicone strap, in colours matching the case Total Black and Total Blue, completes the linearity of the watch.
