According to the press release, Kristin’s Crown aims to provide hospitalized children with crowns to wear during their stay, whether before surgery or simply to brighten their day. The initiative is part of Nelson Coleman Jewelers’ Chris Coleman Enrichment Program, which encourages customers and employees to contribute to causes that matter to them.
“As a sixth-generation business owner, I believe in nurturing not only our customers' ability to give back but also our team members' passion for creating lasting impact,” said Amanda Coleman-Phelps of Nelson Coleman Jewelers in the announcement. “Emmaline’s initiative perfectly embodies this vision, transforming personal experience into community action.”
The report noted that Frederick Health, a partner in the initiative, sees Kristin’s Crown as a way to enhance the well-being of young patients. Cheryl Cioffi, Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer of Frederick Health, stated, “Being in the hospital is hard, especially for children. We know that Kristin's Crown will certainly bring smiles to make our youngest patients feel special and turn medical moments into magical moments.”
