According to The New York Times, business owner Kathryn Phillips of Laguna Beach, Calif., began collecting Ms. Kosann's lockets when her first grandchild was born 13 years ago. Phillips noted that one locket, a gift from her husband on their 30th anniversary and engraved with "Best blind date ever," now holds four images representing different decades and family.

The article states that Ms. Kosann describes a locket as "a sexy piece of jewelry" that offers inspiration, empowerment, and a way for women to manifest their desires. It also details one of her popular designs: a shield-shaped locket engraved with "Fearless" on the back, available with a steel or 18-karat gold chain. The report added that the singer Usher wears this style, featuring photos of his children.

The New York Times further noted that Ms. Kosann has introduced the Locket Bar—an online and in-store service that allows customers to customize their lockets with scannable digital images and personalized engravings. The service has enabled customers to incorporate meaningful personal touches, such as photos from a mother's recipe book or images of favorite flowers.

Monica Rich Kosann acknowledged the New York Times and Jill Newman on social media for the coverage, expressing her appreciation for the feature on her locket collections.
