New York, NY--Platinum Guild International USA released a trend report on platinum engagement rings ahead of the busy fourth quarter shopping season. The report identifies what it describes as “six white hot engagement ring styles that are sure to be seen on many ring fingers this holiday proposal season and into 2025.”

A stalwart of the 1920’s Art Deco era, platinum has since set the standard for sophisticated, design-forward engagement rings settings for over a century. Inherently timeless, naturally white, and 30 times more rare than gold, platinum is the ideal metal for a ring that will both symbolize and last forever.

The trends established in the report include Pretty Pastels, pairing colored gemstones with the incomparable luster of platinum; Gender Fluid, identified by fiercely modern components that are neither masculine nor feminine; Square Dance, a catch-all for several angular cuts; Bezel Up, showcasing naturally white metal borders with clean, seamless looks;  Elegant Emerald Cuts, the undisputed definition of quiet luxury; and Metal Forward, which allows the precious metal’s natural hue to take centerstage.  

All the noted trends are demonstrated by an encyclopedia of imagery highlighting the works of a wide range of designers. From bridal jewelry industry mainstays such as Tacori, Kirk Kara, Stuller, and Rahaminov, to several of-the-moment designers, notably Jade Ruzzo, Sorellina, Harwell Godfrey, and Jade Trau, a vast array of design talent is captured in the report.
