Mississippi Jewelry Store Burglary Results in Two Arrests May 09, 2023 (0 comments)

Philadelphia, MS--Johnny Sides Jewelry, located in Valley View Shopping Center, was robbed on Friday, April 28, at around 4:00 a.m.

According to a Kicks 96 report, Philadelphia Police received a tip from two individuals during a traffic stop. They discovered the store's shattered front door and disabled power upon arrival.

Per the report, surveillance footage showed a suspect disabling the power before breaking in. Officers identified a cell phone owner outside a nearby residence as Tony McIntosh, a 48-year-old black male from Philadelphia. Norman Dwight McKinney, a 27-year-old white male from Philadelphia, was also arrested. Both were charged with commercial burglary and booked into Winston County Jail.

The report highlighted that an undisclosed amount of jewelry was stolen and has yet to be recovered. Philadelphia Police Chief Eric Lyons confirmed in the report that the incident is still under investigation and further arrests are possible.
