ZOE BROMBERG’S MEMORY TO BE HONORED BY RESTAURANT CHAIN August 31, 2011 (0 comments)
Birmingham, AL—Zoe’s Kitchen, a chain of health-conscious casual dining restaurants throughout the South (Houston location shown left), will honor the memory of Zoe Bromberg—granddaughter of its founders—by supporting the Rise School at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The Rise School serves children with developmental difficulties such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down’s syndrome and more. The organization is the favorite charity of Kappa Delta, the sorority to which Bromberg belonged at the University of Alabama. She had completed her studies in May and was set to formally graduate August 6, in a ceremony delayed by the spring tornadoes in Alabama.
Zoe Bromberg was the daughter of Clayton and Christy Bromberg of Underwood Jewelers in Jacksonville, FL. The 23-year-old was tragically killed in an accident in Spain on July 12. Friends and family described her as a loving, giving, and caring individual who would be pleased to know that her memory is being honored through helping others.
Underwood Jewelers uses its Facebook page to let friends know about the program with Zoe's Kitchen.
Zoe’s Kitchen, founded by Bromberg’s grandmother, Zoe Cassimus Marcus, has more than 50 locations in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. From September 1 through 15, locations in Alabama and Florida will donate $5 from every “Dinner for Four” sold to the Rise School.
