Weston Jewelers' Owner Lands on Front Page of Miami Herald

Miami, FL--Ed Dikes, owner of Weston Jewelers in Weston, FL, landed on the front page of the Miami Herald Wednesday. Dikes, together with his son Jesse (top row, center and right), were snapped celebrating the Miami Heat tying Tuesday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs, to go into overtime. The Heat won 103 to 100, taking this year's NBA Final series into game 7 Wednesday. The pair were guests of Hublot.

Top 50 Designer Retailers Honored

Norwalk, CT—The Design Center at JCK Las Vegas held its 10th annual Designer Retailer Awards on Sunday, June 2 during JCK Las Vegas Jewelry Week. The awards honor 50 jewelry retailers who exceeded the standard of excellence in the promotion, merchandising, and sales of designer jewelry. The specific criteria for which the top 50 were chosen include: educating the consumer on the quality and value of designer jewelry; displaying and merchandising designer products for maximum salability, and finally, their commitment to fair business practices.

First place went to ZFolio Gallery in Monterey, CA, second place to I. Gorman Jewelers in Washington, D.C. and third place to Worthmore Jewelers in Atlanta, GA.

"This is truly a remarkable accomplishment, realizing that many of the recognized retailers have been in the business for generations," said winnder Zdena Jiroutova of ZFolio. "ZFolio is new and fresh, and we are happy to represent over eighty designers from around the world."

Rounding out the Top 10 Designer Retailers are Blue Stone Jewelers in Tahoe City, CA, Amethyst in Bethesda, MD, Max's in St. Louis Park, MN, Sabbia in Chicago, IL, Steve Quick Jeweler in Chicago, The Wedding Ring Shop in Honolulu, HI, and Terra Firma Gallery in Sonoma, CA.
