Vahan 50th Anniversary Party Draws Fans In Vegas
Las Vegas, NV--VAHAN Jewelry celebrated its 50th anniversary with a special party at Canaletto Restaurant in the Venetian complex in Las Vegas. The packed invitation-only event was filled with VAHAN retailer partners and other well-wishers.
The brand was founded by French designer Leon “Sacha” Der Calousdian in 1968. After studying at La Chambre Syndicale de la Bijouterie in Paris, Der Calousdian designed jewelry for such brands as Hermès, Cartier, and David Webb before starting his own company, known then as Alwand Vahan. In 2009, his son Greg joined the company as vice president of design, bringing his own artistic sensibilities that have helped develop the core VAHAN styles, today most frequently recognized for its textured bracelets in sterling silver, 14k gold, and precious stone combinations.
