Peoria, IL—Ronda Daily, owner of Bremer Jewelry with stores in Peoria and Bloomington, IL, will present checks to reimburse five central Illinois newlyweds for the cost of their wedding rings as part of the store’s “Pray for Rain” promotion.

The couples participated in the Pray for Rain promotion by completing a special form and returning it to Bremer Jewelry at least 45 days prior to their wedding date of July 11. If the National Weather Service at Peoria Regional Airport then measured an inch or more of precipitation between 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM (central time) on the day of their wedding, they would receive a full refund for the purchase price of wedding bands.

It was indeed a soggy day—it rained 2.15 inches on July 11, more than twice what was needed to earn these five couples their ring reimbursements.

“It’s amazing that five Central Illinois couples were able to take advantage of this on-going promotion in such a close proximity,” said Daily. “We’re happy that these couples have beaten the odds, earning a refund on their wedding rings from Bremer Jewelry. The cash back will bring further happiness to this already extraordinary time in their lives.”

Four of the lucky couples are from Bloomington-Normal: Jeremy and Kayla Highland, Nate and Kimberly Sams, Darrell and Pamela Ifft, and Adam and Sarah Bishop. The fifth couple, Cody and Rachel Jablonski, are from Peoria. Bremer Jewelry will be giving away eleven wedding rings in total between the five couples.

Wet but happy: because it rained on their wedding day, these five couples received a reimbursement check from Bremer Jewelers for the cost of their wedding rings.
