Annapolis, MD—W.R. Chance Diamond Jewelers was named “Best Of The Bay” by readers of Bay Weekly, an independent newspaper serving Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay area. Also named in the category of jewelry stores was Dickinson Jewelers, which has stores in Prince Frederick and Dunkirk, MD.
The paper announced the winners of its 2015 poll in its year-end edition, published December 31, 2015. This was the 18th year for the poll, which asks readers to vote for their favorite restaurants, stores, entertainment venues, and many other local businesses in the Bay area.
W.R. Chance Diamond Jewelers, established in 1949, is a fourth-generation, family- owned store in historic downtown Annapolis and the longest-tenured business on Main Street. The store carries multiple designer jewelry brands but is most noted for its custom work and its signature By Chance collection, inspired by the Chesapeake Bay.
“We are incredibly grateful to our customers and our community,” said Bruce Chance, owner. “The support we’ve received from them over the past 66 years has been more than we could have ever imagined. It’s an honor to receive this recognition, but it has been an absolute pleasure to open our doors to Annapolis each and every day.”
