According to a report published by Robb Report, Hing Wa Lee Jewelers, steered by David Lee, a renowned Ferrari enthusiast, and seasoned jewelry retailer, is gearing up to pump $15 million into a fresh showroom primarily spotlighted by Rolex. This new showroom is scheduled to launch in the flourishing Larchmont neighborhood between downtown Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.

Recognized for its services to Chinese tourists and residents, Hing Wa Lee claims to have been one of the pioneering Asian-owned Rolex dealers in the U.S., starting its journey in 1995. They already boast two expansive Rolex showrooms in the Walnut and San Gabriel regions of Los Angeles. Although the size of the new Larchmont outlet remains undisclosed, it promises contemporary watch retail amenities like indoor lounging areas, a rooftop overlooking the iconic Hollywood sign, and an all-inclusive bar.

The report noted that in a parallel development, Gearys, a venerable jewelry establishment on Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive, is preparing to unveil a 15,000-square-foot showroom.

This space is set to house 7,000 square feet dedicated to Rolex and another 4,000 square feet for Patek Philippe. Anticipated to open doors by fall 2024, the showroom will host five specialized watchmakers for Rolex and a sole watchmaker for Patek Philippe, marking it as the lone Patek Philippe workshop to the west of New York City. Notably, it will also feature an essential rooftop designed for client engagement.

While it's still being determined if these expansions will ease the path for watch enthusiasts to acquire their desired Rolex, the openings, given the prevailing market dynamics, are sure to attract attention, especially from long-standing Hing Wa Lee and Gearys patrons.
