According to a February 11 report by the Associated Press, the targeted Saks Fifth Avenue locations include sites in Philadelphia, Columbus, and Phoenix. Following these closures, parent company Saks Global will maintain 25 Saks Fifth Avenue stores, 35 Neiman Marcus locations, and two Bergdorf Goodman stores. The retail locations earmarked for closure will remain open until the end of April.

The report also noted that Saks Global scheduled the shutdown of 14 standalone Fifth Avenue Club styling suites for February 14, retaining only three standalone sites. Furthermore, the company's standalone home site, Horchow.com, is closing. As stated in the report, as of February 19, online shoppers are being redirected to the NeimanMarcus.com home category to access the full assortment previously available on Horchow.

The company indicated this marks the initial phase of store closures across both brands. Saks Global noted that the affected locations were unprofitable and represented a small portion of its overall business.
