Scott Stambaugh Named to Independent Jewelers Organization Board of Directors February 06, 2023 (0 comments)

Defiance, OH--Scott Stambaugh, the owner of Stambaugh Jewelers has been appointed to the board of directors of the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO) for a three-year term, according to an announcement from IJO President and CEO Jeff Roberts.

"Scott was chosen from among more than 650 retail jeweler member candidates, which really says a lot about his leadership abilities and the confidence the membership as a whole has in him," Roberts stated, as per a report. "I'm excited to be working with Scott, as is the rest of the Board."

The IJO board consists of 10 retail members and three vendor members. The role of this board is to serve as a link between the membership and IJO management, as well as to contribute to developing ideas aimed at improving the overall functioning of IJO.

"Being associated with IJO represents integrity, quality and trust, and I'm proud to be able to give back to this organization that has helped our business in so many ways," Stambaugh stated, per the report. "I look forward to serving my fellow members in any way I can over the next three years."

IJO is a jewelry buying group and service organization that has been assisting retail jewelers in enhancing their competitiveness in the market for over 50 years. It enables its members to take advantage of group purchasing savings, which they can then pass on to their customers. In addition, IJO offers its members the latest education and information on product knowledge, techniques, trends, and styles
