VDB App And Platform Provides Full Range Of Jewelry Search And Sourcing
New York, NY—Virtual Diamond Boutique has added finished jewelry to its VDB App and Platform (left). The addition of finished jewelry makes the app a robust, user-friendly search and sourcing environment for the entire jewelry industry. The app makes it easier than ever for suppliers to find new B2B clients and for retailers to offer extended inventory to consumers.
VDB’s sourcing and trading app for finished jewelry is part of its overall sourcing and trading system, which also includes diamonds and color gemstones. Key differentiators of the VDB App include:
For retailers, this feature means they can offer thousands more finished jewelry items to their customers. Sales associates can open the VDB App on their tablet or phone, and filter, search, and browse finished jewelry with the client beside them. White label options from VDB allow jewelry retailers to share the VDB experience on their website or offer their own custom app through the Apple and Google Play stores.
For wholesale, all it takes to get a company’s inventory into the VDB platform is a product information spreadsheet; no coding activities are required. Participation in the platform is currently still free for suppliers (with the exception of an optional white label program for suppliers and manufacturers, which offers several different price options).
Building an app and online database infrastructure is expensive, time-consuming, and requires ongoing investment to keep up with changing technology. The VDB App and Platform takes on responsibility for the technology, and offers it in different configurations from a free version to white label options.
AIGS Lab Launches App To Verify Its Gemstone Reports
Bangkok, Thailand—AIGS Lab has launched an app to verify AIGS gemstone reports, creating additional protection for customers by guaranteeing the report is genuine. The app, which launched March 10, can verify the following AIGS reports: AIGS Master Gemstone Report (MGR & MGRS), AIGS Full Report, AIGS Diamond Report, AIGS Master Jade Report (MJR), and AIGS Brief Report.
After downloading the free App from Apple App Store or Google Play, customers scan it in to verify that it’s genuine. Third-party QR code scanners will no longer verify AIGS reports.
“This new App is necessary in order to protect our customers,” said AIGS chairman Kennedy Ho. “This is the most secure way to verify our reports from now on. I urge our customers to download the App to be absolutely certain that their report is genuine.”
