New York, NY--The Jewelers Circle has launched its new direct-to-consumer platform, offering vintage and rare jewelry powered by a growing global network of experts.

Its website, JewelersCircle.com, provides jewels from periods ranging from Art Deco and Victorian to Retro. Pieces come from many sources, including historic jewelry houses such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Tiffany & Co.

“Consumer demand for vintage jewelry has significantly increased in recent years,” according to Julie Thompson-Leriche, The Jewelers Circle chief operating officer. “While there are existing marketplaces, none offer the caliber of top vintage dealers and expertise that we bring exclusively for jewelry enthusiasts. Our main objective is to connect the community of the most prestigious vintage dealers with consumers who have been wanting this access to rarities.”

The Jewelers Circle’s founding partners, representing family businesses with centuries of experience, joined forces in 2020 to create a secure digital space for international dealers to showcase their treasures, the company said in a statement. Initially beginning as a sourcing platform for only trade professionals, The Jewelers Circle’s founding partners said they witnessed a growing interest for subscribers to reach private clients and a wider customer base.

The new direct-to-consumer platform provides an opportunity for leading vintage dealers from around the world to share their rare treasures with a global audience, the company said. 

Through its partnership with IAJA Expertise, which provides a personal assessment of a heritage item of jewelry all items sold on the platform will come with IAJA Expertise documentation which details the attributes of the item. IAJA Expertise is a group of professionals consisting of former curators, archivists and directors specializing in jewelry, precious objects and collectibles from among the world’s foremost jewelry brands.
