Tiffany & Co. Showcases Rare Archival Jewels in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein October 19, 2025 (0 comments)
New York, NY--Tiffany & Co. has made a rare appearance on screen with a curated selection of historic and modern jewels featured in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein, according to a report by Only Natural Diamonds. It marks the first time Tiffany has combined vintage diamond masterworks from its archives with contemporary high jewelry for a film production.
The article stated that costume designer Kate Hawley collaborated closely with Tiffany's creative team, pairing 19th-century-inspired textiles and colors with archival designs from the Tiffany Archives, including works by Julia Munson and Meta Overbeck, created under Louis Comfort Tiffany. Many of these pieces had never been worn in modern times.

Among the featured jewels is the Wade Family Necklace, crafted in 1900 from gold, platinum, and 40.45 carats of European-cut diamonds. The necklace, gifted to American heiress Ellen Garretson Wade, exemplifies Tiffany's Garland-style design and was last housed at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. As per the post, its appearance in Frankenstein marks the first time it has been worn on film.
Vice President and Creative Director Christopher Young described the collaboration as a milestone, noting that the moment the necklace was clasped on actress Mia Goth, "the jewel had found a profound new chapter in its long history." The film includes 27 Tiffany & Co. pieces, ranging from necklaces and brooches to a pocket watch worn by Charles Dance.

In celebration of the release, Tiffany unveiled themed window displays at its Fifth Avenue flagship, The Landmark, designed with input from del Toro. The installations recreated key moments from the film using digital animation and theatrical lighting, on view from October 8 to November 3.
As per the report, Frankenstein continues Tiffany & Co.'s legacy of cinematic collaborations, which began with Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) and continued with Carey Mulligan in The Great Gatsby (2013).
The new film premieres in select theaters on October 17 and streams globally on Netflix beginning November 7.
