Weston, FL--Miami Dolphins fullback Alec Ingold and Weston Jewelers have partnered to provide a new playground for foster children at SOS Children's Village, a community dedicated to supporting children in the foster care system. According to WFSLTV, the village houses children in individual homes, each accommodating five to six foster children, under the slogan "Healing, Hope, and Home."

Ingold, an advocate for SOS Children's Village, expanded his Gifts in Gold Project, presented by Weston Jewelers, by funding the playground. In the report, Ingold highlighted its significance: "It doesn't matter what you're doing on that playground, but you're outside, you're having fun, and you're enjoying the moment."

Dawn Seay, chief development officer of the village, explained that the playground serves as a critical space for children to play and socialize, noting, "Our children don't have the opportunity to go on vacation, so this is the nucleus of what they do, and this is home."

The project is supported by an initiative tied to Ingold's jersey number, 30. For every 30 yards the Dolphins gain per game, Weston Jewelers will donate $100 to the SOS playground fund, WFSLTV reported.

Ingold, who is adopted, shared that his connection to the cause is personal, highlighting the importance of advocating for foster children. "The foundation that we have is all about advocating for these youth in foster care, by connecting, being relatable, and being in the moment with one another," he said, per the report.
