Greensboro, N.C. and Winston-Salem, N.C.--Through years of dedicated partnership and generous jewelry donations, Windsor Jewelers has raised more than $1 million directly from their jewelry donations in support of type 1 diabetes research and advocacy.

The jeweler has done this through its support of the Piedmont, Triad and Charlotte Chapters of Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), the leading global organization funding research, advocating for policies, and providing support for type 1 diabetes. The organization recently honored Windsor Jewelers with an award for its support.

For more than two decades, Windsor Jewelers has contributed exceptional pieces from its designer collections to be auctioned at the chapter’s annual galas. These highly anticipated auction items have consistently inspired spirited bidding, directly funding research, education, and support programs for individuals and families living with type 1 diabetes.

The annual galas have become signature community events, uniting business leaders, philanthropists and families in a shared mission to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs. Windsor Jewelers jewelry auction contributions have played a meaningful role in helping the chapters reach this remarkable milestone.

“In our community, giving back isn’t optional — it’s essential,” said Rob Simon of Windsor Jewelers. “We are deeply honored to receive this award, especially as we celebrate our 40th anniversary of being in business, and are honored to stand alongside Breakthrough T1D and the families they serve. Knowing that our donations have helped raise over one million dollars to help fund research, provide hope, and move us closer to cures makes this partnership incredibly meaningful to us. Surpassing one million dollars raised is not just a financial milestone for Windsor Jewelers—it represents lives impacted, progress made, and a future filled with possibility.”

Breakthrough T1D is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research, dedicated to advancing treatments, improving lives, and ultimately finding cures. The Piedmont Triad and Charlotte Chapters continue to lead impactful fundraising efforts throughout the region, powered by strong corporate and community partnerships.

Windsor Jewelers said it “remains committed to supporting causes that strengthen the local community and looks forward to continuing its partnership with Breakthrough T1D for years to come.”
