According to Triad Business Journal, Simon founded the company in 1986 after initially entering the jewelry industry while pursuing a music career. Over the years, Windsor expanded from Winston-Salem to Charlotte, serving multiple generations of customers and adapting through economic shifts, changing industry conditions, and the pandemic.
Simon said the business has been built on being part of customers' milestones and maintaining strong service standards. He also pointed to listening to clients, following through on commitments, and operating with integrity as central factors in the company's long-term survival.
The report also highlights Windsor's community engagement through its support of Breakthrough T1D. The company’s contributions of jewelry for auctions and sweepstakes at annual galas have helped raise more than $1 million for Type 1 diabetes research.
Triad Business Journal reported that Windsor's growth has continued alongside its focus on relationships and local involvement, even as broader retail conditions have become more challenging.
