Zachary’s Jewelers Marks 20 Years Since Fire With Nutcracker Event in Downtown Annapolis November 20, 2025 (0 comments)
Annapolis, MD--Zachary's Jewelers in downtown Annapolis will mark 20 years since a fire destroyed its original store, an incident the business says the community helped it recover from within a week.

To recognize that support, the jeweler will again host The Nutcracker with the Chesapeake Ballet Company during the city's Grand Illumination Celebration on Sunday, Nov. 30, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., according to the post by Eye On Annapolis.
The post stated that Zachary's Jewelers has partnered with the Chesapeake Ballet Company for nearly 30 years to present The Nutcracker as part of Annapolis' holiday kickoff. The annual event draws residents and visitors to Main Street during the Grand Illumination.
The afternoon will begin inside the store with a storytelling of The Nutcracker. The post noted that families can have hot chocolate and cookies, and the first 100 children will receive a free nutcracker keepsake.
At 4:30 p.m., the celebration will move outdoors for scenes from The Nutcracker performed by the Chesapeake Ballet Company under the holiday lights on Main Street. Attendees can stay to watch, meet the dancers, and take photos.
