Boston, MA--Zillion announced that Meredith Tiderington is the 2025 recipient of its “Women in STEM Scholarship.” An Electrical Engineering student at Purdue University, Tiderington says she thrives on the challenge of breaking down complex issues into manageable parts, experimenting with solutions, and refining until she reaches her desired outcome.
“She demonstrated a wonderful test and learn approach that made her a standout among an impressive group of applicants,” Zillion said in a statement. Zillion is a point-of-sale provider for the jewelry industry.
Zillion created the “Zillion Women in STEM Scholarship” in 2021 to aid and empower women to enter the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. The academic scholarship, designed to cover a portion of tuition costs for a female student majoring in a STEM discipline at an accredited US college or university, “is profoundly important,” Zillion said in its statement, adding that as an embedded insurance provider, Zillion’s innovation is attributed to a talented and diverse team, well represented by women in engineering and leadership roles.
“Zillion has always embraced a test and learn strategy to improve the customer experience and redefine insurance norms”, said Adam Black, Zilion managing director. “Tiderington has demonstrated a keen ability to take on problems and work through them with curiosity and logic. We’re excited to support her as she advances her career within a STEM discipline.”
