Merrick, NY -- If you’re a jewelry brand and haven’t tried using influencers to spread product awareness, now is a really good time to try it out.

For some “old school” jewelers, the concept may be a little confusing. But it’s simple - influencers are people with big followings online. These influencers have ENORMOUS influence (hence the name) over their audience and social media followers.

It’s no different than paying a celebrity to showcase your product, except the celebrity is likely much more money than paying an influencer.

There are two reasons why working with an influencer can be a fantastic idea for your brand.

AUDIENCE KNOWLEDGE

An influencer knows his/her audience better than a search engine can. Influencers know what type of content motivates their audience and knows how to get their audience to take action. They’ve likely spent years learning this. Therefore, they may have some great insight into your customers and how to reach them.

CREATIVE

Making lots of graphics and videos for the web can be a big task for some brands. However, hiring an influencer means that he/she is making the content for you. This frees up your time and money for other things.

Influencers are usually fantastic at integrating your brand’s style with the style and feel of their regular content. It will usually look seamless.

In my next article, I’ll discuss how to get started with hiring an influencer.
