New York, NY--The 1916 Company, formed through the merger of WatchBox with U.S. jewelers Govberg, Hyde Park, and Radcliffe, has launched a new app aimed at watch collectors. The app provides access to thousands of new and pre-owned luxury watches.

According to a report by Watchpro, Danny Govberg, executive chairman of the 1916 Company, played a key role in developing the app.

Govberg, who co-founded WatchBox in 2017, chose the company's name to honor his family's legacy, as Govberg Jewelers was established in Philadelphia by his grandfather in 1916. He describes the new entity as a "107-year-old start-up."

The app allows users to browse the company's extensive inventory. It offers features such as industry news updates and detailed information on specific watches, including those under Rolex's Certified Pre-Owned program.

The 1916 Company, valued at $500 million, is expanding digitally and through its physical presence. It has over 20 retail locations, including multi-brand and mono-brand boutiques.
