Austin, TX—For luxury jewelers, a hand written thank-you note sent to each customer after a purchase is de rigueur. But simply thanking your customers for their nice words can make you stand out and get people talking your store up even more enthusiastically.

According to this blog on WordofMouth.com, there are three ways a great “thank you” gets people talking:

  1. You’ll surprise them
  2. You’ll have another chance to impress them
  3. You’ll make others notice.

A great surprise is another reason for people to talk about you, so if you thank them in a big way for a Facebook shout-out, it will make a great impression. Likewise, be sure to thank anyone who writes a review of your business. If it’s not such a great review, thank them for the honest feedback and be sure to let them know you’re going to do something about it. If it’s a glowing review, tell the writer how much it means to you.

Finally, acknowledging people’s opinions shows you’re paying attention and listening to them, and who doesn’t love that?
