A Timely Perspective: It’s All About Fashion! Stylish Watches From VicenzaOro | November 05, 2014 (0 comments)
Vicenza, Italy—While few jewelers would travel to the VicenzaOro fairs just for watches—it is, after all, renowned for its gold and gemstone jewelry—it is worthwhile to note that the design-savvy Italians can do wonders with watches, too. A high point of the introductions of this year’s fall Vicenza fair were affordable offerings from brands such as Brosway and Tous (left), with their renditions of chronos and bright, sporty chic everyday styles.
On the high end, yellow gold and diamonds prevailed, though this all-diamond snake by Roberto Coin featured an amethyst head through which the dial can be seen.
“For me, the creation of this watch is not about the snake, as much as it is about nature,” says Roberto Coin. “It is about showing the beauty of nature and how wonderful it can be.” The designer also won “Best Italian Jewelry Brand” at the show’s third annual Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards.
