AGA Opens Applications for 2024 Gemological Education Scholarship and Research Grant March 26, 2024 (0 comments)
Glendale, CA--For its 50th anniversary, the Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) announced the return of the AGA Gemological Education Scholarship and AGA Gemological Research Grant awards for 2024.
The scholarships are open to gemological enthusiasts and professionals worldwide. Educationscholarship applications are being accepted through May 15. Applications for the Research Grant are accepted from April 15 through July 15.
The application criteria is as follows.
2024 AGA Gemological Education Scholarship is awarded to need and merit-based recipients around the world for study in the field of gemology. If you are pursuing a career in gemology and need assistance with your education, you are encouraged to apply. Scholarship funds up to $5,000 may cover tuition and practical classes only and are paid directly to the institution. Visit AGA’s website to learn more.
2024 AGA Gemological Research Grant supports individuals developing a scientific research project whose subject is in or directly related to gemology. The grant provides up to $10,000 in funding for an approved project as authorized by the AGA Board of Governors. Applicants must have an established relationship with a gem research laboratory or a scientific institute to accomplish the proposed project and should have a degree in science and/or extensive experience in a related gemological field.
