Albert’s Diamond Jewelers Donates $50,000 to Food Bank for Anniversary November 25, 2025 (0 comments)

Schererville, IN--Albert's Diamond Jewelers has donated $50,000 to the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana as part of its 120th anniversary. According to the report by Lakeshore Public Media, the funds will support meal programs serving children, seniors, and families in Lake and Porter counties.

The donation is expected to help provide more than 150,000 meals. The report stated that more than 7,000 children in the region face food insecurity each year.

"We are honored to celebrate 120 years in business by supporting a cause that aligns with our family and company values," President Josh Halpern said, as per the report.

According to the report, the Food Bank distributes over 7 million meals annually and operates programs including mobile markets, pantry support, senior nutrition services, and emergency food distribution.

"We are deeply grateful for Albert's Diamond Jewelers' generous gift," Victor Garcia, President of the Food Bank, said, noting the donation will directly support families in need.

The report highlighted that the Halpern family has a long history of community involvement since the company's founding in 1905.
