Assurant Foundation Will Match Team’s Donations For JFC Virtual Rings Of Strength August 03, 2020 (0 comments)
New York, NY—Suzanne Adams of Assurant has announced that the “Assurant Cares Allst*rs” Virtual Rings of Strength team (image) is ready to raise double the money. The Assurant Foundation, has agreed to match, dollar for dollar, all donations its team collects for the upcoming Jewelers for Children Virtual Rings of Strength Tour.
Jewelers For Children typically hosts its annual Rings of Strength Tour in Las Vegas in the early morning hours immediately prior to the opening of the JCK Show. This year, in light of the pandemic, the event is going virtual and, as a result, expanding both the timeframe and the variety of activities that participants can do to raise money.
During the four-day event scheduled from August 11-14, participants can choose any activity, anywhere they are: run or walk the traditional 5K distance that’s usually done in Las Vegas, or ride a bicycle any distance they choose. They’ll also be able to raise money by walking their dog, mowing the lawn, or any other activity. The option to link wearable trackers and smart watches to the virtual Rings of Strength site will allow for all activity to be counted towards the goal of achieving six million steps over the four-day event.
For those who are unable to participate on their own, a donation to the Assurant team will ensure a doubled donation.
“I know that many of you purchase flashing red hearts and/or auction items at Facets of Hope [dinner in Las Vegas]. In lieu of hearts and auction items, please consider donating to JFC via our team, so that you can double your donation through the Assurant Foundation," says Adams. At press time she had raised $2,350 so far, which will be doubled by the foundation.
