Philadelphia, PA.--Bar-Kay Jewelers is closing its doors After 75 years of service to the Northeast Philadelphia. The jeweler is hosting a going out of business sale with savings up to 70% on the store’s entire selection of fine jewelry and watches.

Bar-Kay Jewelers was founded in 1948 by Stanley “Stas” Kurowski as a small watchmaker’s shop in the Rockledge Plaza shopping center. Kurowski’s son John joined the business in 1973, followed by his sister, Chris in 1987 and daughter, Kim in 1998. Each family member brought their own unique expertise and skills to the team, building the small store into a thriving full-service fine jewelry store and repair shop.

Throughout the decades, Bar-Kay Jewelers cultivated a loyal multigenerational client base, sharing in their personal milestones.

“We’ve loved being part of our customer’s lives for so long,” John said. “It’s an incredible feeling, like being part of one big family. We’re certainly going to miss that aspect of the business.”
