Merrick, New York – Owners of better jewelry stores love to learn and be inspired by other successful managers. When those successful managers also are celebrities, it makes the learning experience all the more enjoyable. A resoundingly successful major league baseball manager, Joe Torre, will provide an inside look at what it took achieve that status for the Centurion opening keynote on Sunday, January 29 at 8 AM.

"My baseball career experiences relate to everyday business life," said Joe Torre. "I hope the Centurion audience will leave enthused with new ideas to implement in their successful businesses."

Torre’s session, called Ground Rules for Winners draws upon his life experiences in professional baseball.  He shares his wisdom on the universal concerns of all managers handling tough bosses, dealing with both setbacks and success, earning the trust and respect of the team and forging a diverse group of individuals into a cohesive unit with a willingness to make the sacrifices necessary to win.

Torre led one of the most fabled franchises in sports history, the New York Yankees, for 12 years, and managed the Los Angeles Dodgers before joining Major League Baseball as executive vice president of baseball operations. During his tenure with the Yankees, the team won six American League Pennants and four World Series Championships. For all of his success, Torre remains down to earth, good-humored and practical in his approach to leadership and success.

“We know that Joe’s experiences will resonate with our attendees,” said Centurion president Howard Hauben. “We’re delighted to have him as a speaker in Scottsdale at the 2012 Show.”

The 2012 Show begins Centurion’s second decade with a move to Scottsdale, Arizona. Show dates are January 28th (arrival day) through January 31st, 2012. For more information, please call 516-377-5909 or email info@centurionjewelry.com. Visit Centurion online at www.centurionjewelry.com
