Birks CEO Jean-Christophe Bédos to Step Down September 04, 2025 (0 comments)
Montréal, Québec--Birks Group announced that Jean-Christophe Bédos stepped down as president, CEO, and director on August 29 after 13 years with the Canadian jewelry retailer, according to Fashion Network.
Executive chairman Niccolò Rossi di Montelera has been appointed interim CEO. Board member Davide Barberis Canonico will serve as interim president and chief operating officer, taking over daily operations.
Rossi di Montelera said Bédos strengthened the Birks brand, built partnerships with global names, and steered the company through the Covid-19 pandemic, per the report.
Bédos will remain as an advisor during the transition. In a statement, he thanked the board, employees, and shareholders, noting confidence in the company's future, the report stated.
