Omaha, NE--Borsheims has named Afton Robertson-Kanne as its new jewelry buyer, according to the company's announcement. She will oversee private label jewelry lines and designer assortments, with responsibilities including market analysis, inventory management, and supplier partnerships.

Robertson-Kanne previously spent more than a decade at Free People, beginning as an assistant buyer and rising to senior buyer. During her tenure, she focused on merchandise planning, trend identification, and vendor relations in both domestic and international markets, the company stated.

"I'm excited to transition into the jewelry world," Robertson-Kanne said in the announcement. "I look forward to growing the jewelry department by exploring new opportunities and expanding on the product lines that Borsheims is already known and loved for."

Julie McAlpine, vice president of merchandising at Borsheims, noted that Robertson-Kanne's global retail experience and product curation background will support the company's jewelry collections.
