Alex Soldier Honored At Texas Museum Gala
Austin, TX—Jewelry designer Alex Soldier was recently honored at a private exhibition held at the UMLAUF Museum and Sculpture Garden. Set in an open, sunlit space overlooking the garden with sculptures by Charles Umlauf, the event celebrated Soldier's work with a spectacular performance by Grammy-winning vocalists Mela Sarajane Dailey and Carr Hornbuckle. The evening was hosted by Sarah Story, the museum's executive director, and attended by the city’s top arts patrons. "We're honored to celebrate a remarkable work of a remarkable man, who is internationally recognized as one of the most innovative designers of our time,” she said of Soldier. “A self-taught and self-made artist and inventor that revolutionized jewelry industry by introducing novel techniques and vision."

Chatham Launches New Lab-Grown Diamond Product And Program
San Marcos, CA—Chatham, a longtime leader in lab-grown colored gemstones, announces the debut of its lab-grown diamond fashion collection. The collection is set with lab-grown pavé diamonds, all stones D-E-F / VVS / triple X quality stones.
The collection includes pendants, rings, earrings, and cuffs in high polished 14k yellow, white, or rose gold. Pendants are strung on cords of German silk. Illusion-style earrings are among the newest designs to be included, as well as bolder rings. Retail prices range from $550 to $9,000.
Chatham’s offerings also include loose lab-grown diamonds, up to 5.0 carats, in rounds, ovals, emeralds, pears, heart, marquise, and cushions; clarity ranges from IF to I1, and colors from D to J. The firm offers both CVD and HPHT stones, which radiate a blue brilliance in light.
With the launch of the new collection, Chatham is offering retailers the opportunity to become a Chatham Diamond Dealer, the brand’s latest partnership program. The program’s parameters are as follows:
- Chatham.com lists its lab-grown diamond inventory online to the consumer and allows its lab-grown diamond dealers to list their inventory on their store's websites.
- When a consumer requests to look at a lab-grown diamond listed, Chatham will refer them to their closest Chatham Diamond Dealer
- Retailer commitment is to continually stock at least three Chatham lab-grown diamonds, minimum of one carat each.
