In Memoriam: Sol Meller, Feldmar Watch Company

Culver City, CA—Sol Meller of Feldmar Watch Company died November 30 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Meller’s career at Feldmar began when he married Nancy Feldmar, daughter of the company's owners. Set to graduate from law school, Meller was asked by his in-laws, Harriet and Barney Feldmar, to join the family business in the early 1970s. He quickly gained an understanding of the watch industry and was beloved by employees and clients who called him “Uncle Sol.”

A consummate salesman, he is credited with transforming Feldmar Watch Company into what it is today, adhering to the company’s core value of exceptional customer service and a focused, but wide, product offering. Sol and Nancy Meller’s son Scott, who worked side by side with his father at Feldmar for over 20 years, will oversee the business.

Services will be held Friday, December 4 at 11:00 am at Hillside Memorial Park in Culver City, CA.
