Omi Privé Has A Pendant For A Superhero

New York, NY—Ome Privé will gift a sapphire and diamond pendant (left, value $6,300) to someone working on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through social media sharing, the public was invited to nominate anyone they feel should be recognized for their bravery, selflessness, and courageduring this pandemic, such as a nurse, doctor, x-ray tech, receptionist, social worker, cleaning or food service worker in a hospital or medical setting, first responder, etc. 

The competition opened in the last week of April with submissions being accepted through May 5. The winner will be announced shortly and will receive an 18k white gold pendant accented with black rhodium featuring a 0.64 carat round sapphire accented with 0.23 carat total weight of round sapphires and 0.11 carat total weight of round diamonds.

Stuller Inc. Resumes Operations 

Lafayette, LA--Stuller’s global headquarters has resumed operations following closure for the coronavirus pandemic. The company’s service levels have been fully restored in the following ways: 

In order to remain compliant with social distancing practices to avoid the spread of COVID-19, the manufacturer has reduced the number of associates working on orders on-site, and other associates continue to work from home.

Jared To Offer Free Virtual Wedding Platform

Akron, OH—With restrictions on public gatherings, many couples have opted to put their weddings on hold. But some have found creative ways to go ahead, such as rooftop or street weddings.

Now Jared is offering free online ceremonies for 1,000 couples nationwide through its online platform, www.jared.com/virtualwedding. The#LoveCantWait national campaign, provides the tools and support for 1,000 couples to have a virtual wedding experience. (Couples are advised to check that it meets the legal requirements of a wedding in their jurisdiction.)

The customizable package includes selection of a date, choice of a theme and background, design and management of an e-vite and guest list, designation of speakers and officiants, and also capturing and archiving the event as a keepsake for couples and their guests. In addition, couples can book live virtual consultations with Jared experts for trusted advice on jewelry selection, sizing and more.

The platform can support up to 100 devices per wedding. Jared is planning an ad campaign around it; it will include social media and a :15 TV commercial. Official #LoveCantWait virtual ceremonies will begin later this month, and Jared is planning additional surprise-and-delight moments for couples throughout the campaign. The multi-media campaign will be featured across all Jared social channels and via a national television campaign. 

 

Lord & Taylor Likely Going Under

New York, NY—Struggling department store chain Lord & Taylor has announced plans to liquidate merchandise in its 38 stores once restrictions from the coronavirus pandemic are listed. Sources close to the firm said on Tuesday that the retailer is planning to file for bankruptcy and does not anticipate being able to return from it. Read more here.
