Alex Soldier Adds Green To Symbolica collection

New York, NY—Jewelry designer and sculptor Alex Soldier has introduced a vivid green for jewelry in his Symbolica collections. Handmade in New York City and inspired by the grandeur of antiquity, the first Symbolica series originated in 18k gold, encrusted with citrines and other vibrant semi-precious stones. As its popularity grew, the collection evolved into other colors and metals, and now the designer has added a deep vivid green to the vintage chic collection. The green Symbolica (left) is made of oxidized silver with white topaz surrounding a vivid center of green agate and white quartz doublet. Prices start at $1,500.

Gurhan Launches E-Commerce Site

New York, NY—Gurhan launched its first-ever ecommerce site Wednesday, in conjunction with a total revamping of its website, GURHAN.com.

The re-launch of GURHAN.com is a brand initiative that will allow consumers from around the globe to develop a personal and interactive relationship with the namesake designer of the luxury jewelry brand renowned for its pure 24k gold, sterling silver, and one-of-a-kind product. The first phase of the re-launch will include the introduction of an e-commerce platform in late 2013. This will allow customers instantaneous access to the brand’s extensive offerings. The second phase, scheduled for early 2014, will include the social engagement component. A community page will encourage fans to connect with each other and with Gurhan to share stories and photos of their “GURHAN lifestyle.” Gurhan will engage directly with customers by responding to questions, sharing commentary, and even gathering inspiration for future jewelry collections. The new site will also host Gurhan’s personal blog—a reflective narrative of his rich life inspired by art, history and exotic travels with his wife Fiona Tilley, company president and CEO.

A rotating photo gallery of Gurhan’s personal photography, and behind-the-scene videos and interviews with the designer will also live on this new site.

Tilley said, “We have created an exciting platform that will enable the consumer to glean a more intimate understanding of the inspirations behind Gurhan’s designs, as well as develop a personal relationship with him. We are confident the new site will allow for a rich, engaging experience for our customers.”

WR Cobb Online Highlights Three Tools to Have for the Holidays

East Providence, RI—Anything that makes shopping easier and more efficient creates increased customer satisfaction leading to better business for retailers, says WR Cobb Online. Tools that help convert customer interest to sales are powerful assets to have in the store. Some of the tools they suggest could prove especially useful this holiday season are:

Mobile Applications. Ensuring your e-commerce site has mobile capabilities (both tablet and smartphone) takes your store to an entirely new level. The rapid growth in mobile shopping is expected to continue and stores that don’t have an optimized tablet experience will do themselves a huge disservice.

In-Store Kiosks. Consider an in-store kiosk as a tool to provide an experience boost. With the company’s iPad kiosk, shoppers can browse inventory that may not appear on the floor, build a wish list of items they see in-store for future online purchase, or even build a custom ring with the jeweler’s expert advice at their side.

LearLite 3.0 is an advanced device that captures product information for customers in the form of high-resolution images that can be shared via email or social media. In return, retailers are simultaneously provided with the shopper’s contact information, which can later be used to convert sales.

New Home for Timeless Designs

New York, NY—Timeless Designs is pleased to announce its new location in the heart of New York’s Diamond District. The firm's original shop on 47th Street was created by family patriarch Jacob Cohen, a refugee from Cuba. As the business began to rapidly grow, his children Bryan and Jackie realized the need for more space. The new facility, on 48th Street, is double the size of the previous location, with customized office and workshop, and features stunning views of nearby Rockefeller Center. Bryan Cohen says it took a bit more than a year for the “fixer-upper” space to become a state of the art manufacturing facility with a chic showroom and reception area.

Timeless Designs, 64 W. 48 Street, 12th floor, New York, NY 10036; (212) 730-1360 or (800) 657-9270.
