Sarine Technologies Announces New Layered Diamond View Technology
Kfar Saba, Israel—Sarine Technologies announces Real View, a new development in diamond imaging that will change the way buyers and sellers view diamonds online.
Real View uses brand-new technology that relies on two layers of imaging. The first layer presents the diamond’s outward appearance, while the second provides details of the diamond’s internal characteristics. These enhance the Sarine Loupe's existing abilities to view the polished diamond's cut and clarity, to enable a customer to make an informed buying decision.
Sarine's patented technology provides a virtual three-dimensional diamond that no other imaging device can match, with optional magnification capabilities to almost microscopic levels.
Accessible anywhere worldwide using the latest cloud technologies, the almost instantaneous viewer allows buyers to realistically browse through large quantities of stones faster than ever, shortening the sales cycle significantly and creating a competitive advantage for both sellers and buyers.

Designer Shona Marsh Creates Bespoke Candlesticks for Garrard
London, United Kingdom—Shona Marsh, one of the UK’s leading designer-silversmiths, has produced a capsule collection of bespoke silver candlesticks designed and made exclusively for Garrard, the world’s oldest jewelers.
Designed as a set, the three tall candlesticks were inspired by the concepts of floating and orbs. From simple rounded bases, the highly polished stems taper and then fan out into circular orbs of mesh-like-latticework into which the candles are placed. The design of the latticework, in 18k gold, is based on the recently launched Albemarle Collection.
The collection takes inspiration from the intricate “diamond and dot” pattern featured in the well-known Garrard-created ‘Girls of Great Britain and Ireland’ tiara made in 1893 as a gift for Queen Mary and later gifted to her granddaughter Queen Elizabeth II for her wedding in 1947.
The candlesticks were conceived to work together as a centerpiece for either a long or circular table. Two of the three are an exact pair; the third is slightly taller. They were designed so that the elements come apart to be used independently, giving a total of four varied looks, and can hold both candles and tea lights simultaneously.
The candlesticks incorporate Garrard’s ethos of “Britishness, Craftsmanship, and Heritage” and will be on sale at the jeweler’s flagship London showroom and selected stores worldwide as from late September 2014.
