Seattle, WA--A West Seattle jewelry store was robbed of $2 million worth of jewels and watches during a daytime smash-and-grab robbery on August 14.

Surveillance cameras show about four masked persons entering the store and smashing display cases stealing merchandise within minutes, Seattle news station KING 5 reports.

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) reportedly said officers responded at noon Thursday to the robbery of the Menashe and Sons jewelry store on California Avenue Southwest.

Officers reportedly determined that four suspects in masks used hammers to smash the locked front glass door of the store and then smashed the glass of the display cases. They kept store employees at bay by pointing bear spray and a taser at employees, while others in the group ransacked the store, police reportedly said. No injuries to any employees or witnesses were reported to police.

The thieves left the store before police arrived, KING 5 reported. Police reportedly said that One display held around $700,000-$800,000 worth of Rolex watches, while another featured an emerald necklace worth $125,000.
