CELEBRITY NEWS: EMMY AWARDS A GREAT NIGHT FOR JEWELRY September 26, 2012 (0 comments)
Los Angeles, CA—The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday showed that fine jewelry is more than ready for prime time. Stars up and down the red carpet sparkled in a variety of gems. Here’s who wore what:
Scottsdale, AZ-based Bellarri made a colorful splash with her pieces on Joan Rivers, Lisa Joyner-Cryer, and Hannah Cornett. Rivers chose Bellarri’s “Diva Collection” bracelets, Cornett chose earrings and a bracelet from Bellarri’s “Circle of Love” collection, and Joyner-Cryer wore the designer’s award-winning Marquesa bracelet. Hubby Jon Cryer, up for nomination for his role on “Two and a Half Men,” meanwhile, wore Edward Mirell’s Trio Sport bracelet and Cable Sport cufflinks. Actress Allegra Riggio wore Erica Courtney jewelry to the event and to other parties around the Emmys. CW’s “Oh Sit!” host, Jessi Cruickshank, also wore the designer’s jewelry while covering the Emmy red carpet for CTV's "etalk" entertainment show. Riggio wore Courtney’s platinum and diamond moonstone cabochon ring, and 18k gold and diamond moonstone drop earrings. Cruickshank wore platinum and diamond “Flower Cross” earrings on “Mary Marquis” hoops, a platinum and diamond “Charlotte” ring, and platinum and diamond “Ellen” bands.

Actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler wore Le Vian jewelry to HBO'S post-Emmy reception, held at The Plaza at the Pacific Design Center. She chose the brand’s trademarked 18k Strawberry Gold and Raspberry Rhodolite Drop earrings with Vanilla and Chocolate Diamonds, Strawberry Gold and Raspberry Rhodolite bracelet with Vanilla and Chocolate Diamonds, and 14K Strawberry Gold Flower Ring (top of page) with Vanilla and Chocolate Diamonds.

But the red carpet isn’t only about big brands. Underwood’s Fine Jewelers in Fayetteville, AR had a rough colored diamond bracelet placed on Access Hollywood reporter Shaun Robinson. The placement happened through AGTA, Craig Underwood told The Centurion. Other AGTA also placed an ametrine ring by Schmitt Jewelers on Joan Rivers, along with her Bellarri ensemble, and a pair of Dallas Prince aqua earrings and Just Jules bracelets that Shaun Robinson wore with her diamond bracelet from Underwood’s.

Emmy nominee Mayim Bialik wore a custom-designed palladium mezuzah necklace by North American Jewelers to the Emmys.
The actress was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on The Big Bang Theory. Her one of a kind necklace showcased a mezuzah pendant in a tear drop shape with a diamond and sapphire stone—the colors of the Israeli flag—accenting the design.
"Operation Mozi Mezuzah", allowed Bialik to be hands-on in the creative process from beginning to end. She and her stylist, Alison Kahn, worked closely with the Palladium Alliance and North American Jewelers to create a custom mezuzah pendant to celebrate her Jewish faith on the red carpet.

Actor Tony Hale of "Arrested Development" and HBO's "Veep", wore CHARRIOL USA’s Rotonde watch to the Emmy Awards. The watch featured a black satin dial on stainless steel bracelet.
Many stars chose platinum jewelry. Padma Lakshmi wore Fred Leighton’s platinum pendant earrings from the 1920’s with coral, onyx, and diamonds, and a platinum cocktail ring from the 1920’s with diamonds and onyx. Also in Fred Leighton were Amanda Peet wearing a platinum and diamond headband and an Art Deco platinum and French-cut diamond line bracelet; Julianne Moore in a platinum and diamond Art Deco bracelet; Tina Fey in a platinum cocktail ring with ruby and onyx; Gretchen Mol in a platinum cocktail ring with diamonds and rock crystal; and Glenn Close in a platinum cocktail ring with a 3-carat diamond and onyx.
Sofia Vergara wore Neil Lane’s platinum and diamond earrings, platinum and diamond cuff bracelets, and platinum and diamond ring with two center diamonds. Also in Neil Lane were Anna Chlumsky, wearing platinum and colored diamond drop earrings and a platinum cocktail ring with white and pink diamonds; Jenna Malone wearing a platinum and diamond cocktail ring; Jane Levy wearing a platinum and diamond collar, platinum and diamond stud earrings, and platinum and diamond ring; Connie Britton wearing platinum and diamond stud earrings and two platinum and diamond cocktail rings; Jon Hamm in platinum and diamond cufflinks; and James Van Der Beek in platinum enamel cufflinks with diamonds.
Jeweler-to-the-stars Lorraine Schwartz was well represented, too. Lucy Liu wore platinum and diamond stud earrings and a cocktail ring with a nine-carat rock crystal and diamonds; Christina Hendricks wore her platinum earrings with ruby and diamonds and a platinum cuff and bangles with ruby, jade, and diamonds; Sarah Hyland chose Schwartz’s platinum earrings with diamonds and rubies, cocktail ring with diamonds and rubies, and platinum and diamond bracelet; and Jane Krakowski wore the designer’s platinum earrings with emerald and diamonds, and a platinum cocktail ring with emerald, onyx and diamonds.
Anna Gunn, Melissa McCarthy, and Archie Panjabi all wore Chopard. Gunn wore platinum and pear-shaped diamond drop earrings, platinum and brilliant-cut diamond bracelet, and platinum and marquise-cut diamond ring; McCarthy wore platinum and diamond chandelier earrings featuring more than 55 fancy shaped diamonds; and Panjabi wore a platinum and emerald cut diamond ring set in a micro-pave diamond band.
Jessica Pare wore Bvlgari’s platinum cocktail ring with a cushion cut emerald and two sapphires, while Jennifer Westfeldt wore De Beers’ platinum and diamond line bracelet, platinum and marquise micro-pave diamond earrings, and two platinum and diamond cocktail rings.
