Centurion Exhibitors Honor Hauben for 10 Years of Service February 28, 2011 (5 comments)
Tucson, AZ--Centurion exhibitors joined together to honor show founder and organizer Howard Hauben for 10 years of service. The exhibitors gave Hauben a Panerai watch along with a $5,000 check on his behalf to Jewelers for Children! While it’s quite rare for all of a show's exhibitors to honor their organizer, no-one was surprised that Howard garnered such a warm reception on the Show’s 10th Anniversary.
“It is because many of us were there in the beginning when Howard proposed the show,” said Jeff Feero, Alex Sepkus, Inc. “When you witnessed his steady, confident pursuit of this show, it was done in the face of naysayers, doubters and critics. You have to admire his single minded push to make this the fine show it has become. And there is no sign of him slacking off. He is called "the hardest working man in the jewelry business" for a reason. From Day One he has put the interests of the exhibitors at the top of his priorities when designing this show. What he has shepherded and marshaled, is like herding 135 cats – that are ADHD and drunk.”
Mindy Fielman of Hearts on Fire, agreed wholeheartedly about Howard’s character. “Having worked with Howard since 1995, I have witnessed no one with his commitment and dedication to the success of the retailers, manufacturers and designers in this industry. His passion and loyalty deserved to be recognized.”
