Milan, Italy—The ability of a brand to elevate a product's perceived value beyond the worth of its various components, is key to business in the luxury product sector. Brands dominate many luxury categories but are still grossly underrepresented in the jewelry sector, where branded product comprises less than 20% of the trade.

CIBJO’s March webinar will address the topic of branding in the jewelry industry, where consumers are far less likely than their fashion counterparts to buy a particular product because they identify with it, rather than a strictly financial decision. But a growing number of companies in the global jewelry industry have had successful branding strategies, and these companies will be examined in the session, set for Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. New York time.

Panelists include Tim Schlick, chief operating officer at Platinum Guild International, who before joining PGI advised Fortune 500 companies on how to create growth through brands and products; Nancy Liu, chief executive officer of Forevermark, the De Beers Group of Company's iconic diamond brand; Mike Asscher, co-president of the Royal Asscher Diamond Company, a legacy brand associated with one of the diamond industry's most famous cuts; and Paul Tacorian, chief executive officer at Tacori, a California-based company that is today one of America's most recognized diamond jewelry brands.

The seminar will be co-moderated by Edward Johnson and Steven Benson, with a welcome address by CIBJO president Gaetano Cavalieri. Click the link below to register:
